Lovely bag of sugar...the main contents of
most sugar cookies=)DUH!
We got to babysit our two nephews, so Mom
thought making cookies would be a fun
project....It was!(Of course!) This is Felisha
and Logan mixing up the dough. Logan said that
since he was a really good cook, he would need
to wear an apron.(not because he is messy or
anything=)
Our innocent little Ryan"making
cookies. He rolled the dough into
little globs and then he would say
"This not big enough to make cookie.
Me eat it?" He is such a cutie!
Dad said that these were the best sugar cookies
we have ever made. Mom told him it was
probably because they were made with little
boy slobbers...

Resees ball in the process of dipping....
Bon bons and Resees balls dipped in chocolate
and almond bark.
Mom made delicious pecan tasies. They are just
the right size for pecan pie. Pecan pie is so rich
that these tiny "pies" are perfect.

A Season to Blog About!!!
I guess I cannot make excuses about why I have
not been keeping our blog updated...but I am
going to try anyway...I have been very busy!!
So it is Christmas time---Yea! I love love this time
of year to celebrate Jesus birth! The picture(above)
is my cute little "gingerbread" nativity scene. I
made it last week at the home of dear friends of
ours. It was so much fun to make and I can't wait
to eat it. "Jesus" is made of a tootsie roll and his
head is a yellow M&M...yummy!
The snow in the picture is white frosting, of course.
My reasons for mentioning the obvious, was to
give me opportunity for announcing that we have
not had our Christmas snow. I do love the looks of
snow and the fact that it gives moisture to the grass,
although I would like it more if it were warm...
Anyway I do hope we get to have our
"White Christmas!" =)
What are your Christmas plans??? Love to hear
from you! I would tell you our Christmas plans but
they change everyday...JK...(almost!wink-wink=)

Canning some good old goat! :)
Last weekend we had antelope hunters
on our ranch. They are all very nice. We
have had them every fall for 4 yrs. Every
year they donate the meat to our family!
We butchered yesterday and I canned
some stew today.
Sanitizing my quart jars...
I put my hot antelope stew in with a little garlic &
salt.
....filled jar
Just some of the quarts....made about 14 quarts.
It was a busy day but lots of fun! :)

Wonderful to be back with my wonderful sister! :)
I had a great time at Eagles' Wings this
summer
cooking, cleaning and spending time with new
friends, but it is nice to be back with Lisha. :)
We have weeded the garden, taken pictures,
played music, baked and laughed together!
Since camp, I have enrolled for college, taking
classes for an associates degree in Graphic
Design.
So far I have made 100% on two exams! God is
Amazing......Proverbs 2:6-
The Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth
cometh knowledge and understanding.
Great to be back and I will try to keep you all
updated!

A glimpse of beauty!
There is always a colorful sunset awaiting us
at the end of the day.
A prickly pear! Haven't seen one in
bloom in a long time. It sure is a pretty sight.

Baby Chicks! So cute.
Just a week ago or so they WERE really cute.
Now that they are losing their down they
aren't so cute although they are funny to
watch when you put a cricket in there. Then
they go crazy. Mom is the one that has to
clean out the bucket or drinker.Hopefully we
can move them to an outside cage so
it won't be necessary to clean..

My "Proverbs 31" Mom....
Happy Mother's Day Mom!
I wish I could be there with you.
I Lovez you and miss you!
Proverbs 31:26-28
She openeth her mouth with wisdom: and in
her tongue is the law of kindness.
She looketh well to the ways of her household,
and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up, and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Dear Mom,
Thank you for being a godly Mom. I
am so grateful to God that he not only
gave me a loving, and caring Mom,
but a godly Mom. Someone I can look
to for advice, love, concern and prayer
for my life. I love the way you are so
diligent in the study and memorization
of the Scripture. I have learned how
important it is to have the Word of God
hidden in my heart.
I love you Very Very Much!

Really Random...
The wind REALLY blows!
This is one of our big corn bags.It is a good thing
Manny was there to hold it and keep it from blowing
away, although it almost took him with it :) I guess
we could take advantage and use it as a parachute!
We thought maybe we could replace the dog
but it didn't really work. JK:). Actually this
is our Grandpa's calf that needed a
substitute momma for a little bit.He is
back with his real momma now.

BRANDING DAY
After the crew got the cows and calves rounded up, Dad and some others helped sort the babies
from the momma cows. Then we began branding...
Joe started us off roping a calf.
\
Becca and Manny flank the calf, Mr. Pete cuts the ear,
and Grandpa brands. (Mrs. King is in
the background taking pictures! Yea!)
...the branding...
The Boss man! The BEST DAD in
the world.
Colby and Allison were able to come help
us with the brand. We tried to get some pix

Finally... We have a new update on our blog!!!
We use Wild Blue for our internet...which limits your monthly downloads. We went
way over our limit. Our consequence was EXTREMELY slow internet.:( It was not
even fun to try to check our email. We finally got it back down and it is so
exciting to get back to blogging. Since we did not have the internet to take up our
evenings we did a lot of practicing music. ( Mom and Dad liked it) :)

Snow Timez.....
Yea! We finally got a good snow! I think we had about 4-5 inches. To some that may not sound like
much at all, but this has probably been the most snow we've had in a long while.:) While looking at the
beautiful, perfectly white snow, I was reminded of David's Psalm to the Lord God-
"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me , and I shall be whiter than snow." (Psalm 51:7)
I think that is quite a verse. David is not asking to be as white as snow, but whiter than snow! I
think it would be amazing to have a heart that is whiter than snow. The wonderful thing to be sure of
is that, when you have repented of your many sins, Jesus Christ washes away the iniquities, and makes you
clean within. My desire is to have a heart that is clean, maybe even....whiter than snow! :)
This heifer was diligently leading her baby
through the blizzard. It looks like it was just
born a couple hrs. before.
Pretty sunrise after the snowy night.
Felisha and I decided to build a snowman
but not just any old ordinary snowman...
we made a cowboy snowman, he goes
by the name Minnie.
...Felisha and Minnie...
...Minnie and Me...
