Love: A Divine Attribute

What is the love of God? I like the way Paul Washer defines it-- it is that divine
attribute that moves Him to freely and selflessly give Himself to others for their
benefit or good. His love is more than an attitude, an emotion, or a work. It is an
attribute of God.
1 John 4:10
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent His Son
to be a propitiation for our sins. Love was not invented or founded by humans,
sinful people. We (the world) did not love God first or give Him anything that
He should love us. He loved us his creation. We were pleasing in his sight...
Genesis 1:31a
And God saw EVERYTHING that he had made and, behold, it was very good.
He created all things including people and it was ALL very good. Then we sinned.
Genesis 6:5
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination
of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Because we sinned we had to have a consequence for all our wicked and evil actions and thoughts.
God knew that his people would have to die...The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. God loved the world. God so loved the world that
he gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in  Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.
God loved us and did not want us to perish. We have to repent(turn from our sinful life) and
accept the gift of salvation that He gave us. His love is truly AMAZING!
Psalm 103:10-12
He hath not dealt with after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
Often times we, as Christians, forget or let the realization of the LOVE of God fade from us.
We have been using the study book, The One True God, by Paul David Washer. We are on chapter 10, titled God is Love. I think this chapter is my favorite(so far=). It has helped me understand that Jesus' sacrifice has cleansed me and He does not count my sins against me nor does he deal with me according to my wicked ways. He forgives me and washes my transgressions from me.
I Love my Savior and my God!

First and Last Jan.Post!=)

We are coming to the end of January and this the first post I've made
from the Wells' end of the world! Just a little behind the times over
here. It is still pretty cold over here, so sitting by the fire is one of my
favorite hobbies.=) The wind has been picking up a little more every
day so...spring is on its way. We never look forward to those horribly
windy days. I have to remember that God treasures the wind. It is very
hard to remember to be thankful for the wind.
Random thoughts for January!

Dulces Y Galleta!!! mmmm.....

Lovely bag of sugar...the main contents of
                                                most sugar cookies=)DUH!

We got to babysit our two nephews, so Mom
thought making cookies would be a fun
project....It was!(Of course!) This is Felisha
and Logan mixing up the dough. Logan said that
since he was a really good cook, he would need
to wear an apron.(not because he is messy or
                                              anything=)

                                                      Our innocent little Ryan"making
cookies. He rolled the dough into
little globs and then he would say
"This not big enough to make cookie.
Me eat it?" He is such a cutie!

Dad said that these were the best sugar cookies
we have ever made. Mom told him it was
probably because they were made with little
                                                boy slobbers...

                                                 -  Display of the dipped candies "to be"-

Resees ball in the process of dipping....

Bon bons and Resees balls dipped in chocolate
                                            and almond bark.

Mom made delicious pecan tasies. They are just
the right size for pecan pie. Pecan pie is so rich
that these tiny "pies" are perfect.

A Season to Blog About!!!

I guess I cannot make excuses about why I have
not been keeping our blog updated...but I am
going to try anyway...I have been very busy!!
So it is Christmas time---Yea! I love love this time
of year to celebrate Jesus birth! The picture(above)
is my cute little "gingerbread" nativity scene. I
made it last week at the home of dear friends of
ours. It was so much fun to make and I can't wait
to eat it. "Jesus" is made of a tootsie roll and his
                                             head is a yellow M&M...yummy!

The snow in the picture is white frosting, of course.
My reasons for mentioning the obvious, was to
give me opportunity for announcing that we have
not had our Christmas snow. I do love the looks of
snow and the fact that it gives moisture to the grass,
although I would like it more if it were warm...
Anyway I do hope we get to have our
                                             "White Christmas!" =)

What are your Christmas plans??? Love to hear
from you! I would tell you our Christmas plans but
                                             they change everyday...JK...(almost!wink-wink=)

Canning some good old goat! :)

Last weekend we had antelope hunters
on our ranch. They are all very nice. We
have had them every fall for 4 yrs. Every
year they donate the meat to our family!
We butchered yesterday and I canned
                                            some stew today.

                                                     Sanitizing my quart jars...

I put my hot antelope stew in with a little garlic &
                                            salt.

                                           ....filled jar

Just some of the quarts....made about 14 quarts.
It was a busy day but lots of fun! :)
